Embodying the Flow w/ Lori Snyder:
A 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training
and Advanced Studies Program

January 21, 2011 - May 1, 2011
(See below for detailed schedule and application)

Join Lori and a remarkable group of students for an extraordinary journey into the heart of your practice. Open to all serious yoga students with at least one year of consistent practice and an understanding of basic yoga poses. It is not at all necessary that you are able to achieve advanced asana; what is necessary is that you are committed to showing up both on and off the mat for the duration of the program.

Whether you wish to teach, are already teaching and wish to broaden your experience, or simply wish to pursue advanced study in yoga, this three-and-a-half-month program will immerse you into both the theory and the practice of Vinyasa Yoga. This is an intensive program that requires both commitment and heart.  Be prepared to soar.

In addition to scheduled meeting days and practice sessions, each participant will be required to observe two classes with Lori, assist four classes with Lori, and observe four classes with other teachers. There is a prerequisite of five classes with Lori, to be sure this style of teaching is one that resonates with you. There will be homework, of both the traditional reading and writing kind, as well as practical applications of Karma Yoga, meditation, etc. Guest teachers include John Servilio, L.Ac. (Anatomy), Jennifer Wiest (Ayurveda), and special guest, master teacher Max Strom. You will be inspired, challenged, loved, and ultimately, as Max says, ready to get out of the way and teach.

Lori has studied with her primary teacher, Max Strom, since 1997 and has also practiced or trained with Erich Schiffmann, Steve Ross, Micheline Berry, and many other incredibly spirited yoga teachers. What captures her most about yoga is its power to remind us how connected we all are, and how ridiculously happy and beautiful life can be. Her classes feature philosophies of kindness, intelligent sequencing, and fabulous soundtracks.
