About the Teacher

Lori has studied with her primary teacher Max Strom since 1997 and has also trained with Erich Schiffmann, Sherry Brourman, and others. What captures her most about yoga is its power to remind us who it is we truly are, and what it is we truly love. Her classes feature philosophies of kindness, intelligent sequencing, and fabulous soundtracks. She is one of the original founders of Om Shala Yoga and now lives and teaches in Venice, CA.
You can visit her online at www.lorisnyderyoga.com or email her at lori@lorisnyderyoga.com
Join Lori and a remarkable group of students for an extraordinary journey into the heart of your practice. Learn to share yoga with others, deepen your own connection to yoga, or broaden your teaching repertoire. Open to all serious students with at least one year of consistent practice and an understanding of basic yoga poses.
You do not need to be able to perform advanced asana. You just need to commit to showing up and being who you are, both on and off the mat. This training will bring you into the truest part of yourself while giving you all the tools you need to teach a transformational flow class.
Whether you wish to teach, are already teaching and wish to broaden your experience, or simply wish to pursue advanced study in yoga, this intensive training will immerse you into both the theory and the practice of Vinyasa Yoga. This is an in-depth program that requires both commitment and heart. Be prepared to soar.
In addition to scheduled meeting days, each participant will be required to observe one class with Lori and four classes with other teachers. There is a prerequisite of either attending previous classes with Lori or checking in with her via email to be sure this style of teaching is one that resonates with you. Expect homework of both the traditional reading and writing kind as well as practical applications of Karma Yoga, meditation, etc. Participants will be expected to sign a Code of Conduct (available at www.omshalayoga.com and www.lorisnyderyoga.com) as well as commit to a minimum 15 minute/day practice of techniques throughout the duration of the training. Guest teachers include John Servilio, L.Ac., Jennifer Wiest (Ayurveda), Karen Harris, M.Div., and others. You will be inspired, challenged, loved, and ultimately, as Max Strom says, ready to get out of the way and teach.
