Support for the Child Bearing Year:

Om Shala for Mamas and Babies is a program developed and coordinated by local doula, massage therapist and yoga teacher Jodie DiMinno to support women and their families as they move through the process of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. Jodie has been teaching yoga and offering birth support and education in this community for over a decade, and she truly creates a light-hearted, supportive space within her many offerings:

Ongoing Prenatal Yoga Classes with Jodie:

Every Wednesday 5:45-7pm $15 Drop In

Join us each week in a warm and gentle space for movement and breath, in community with other women at various stages of their pregnancies. Expect space for sharing, breathing and meditation and gentle physical movement selected to support the process of growing (and giving birth to!) a lovely new human.

Postpartum Yoga Series:

This class is for mothers at least 4-weeks postpartum and their pre-crawling babies.  The class will consist of breath, simple yoga postures and restorative poses, as well as stretches, songs, and movements to engage your baby.  Please bring your favorite baby-wearing device. Six Sessions, $80.

Yoga & Massage for Childbirth

Simple supported poses, gentle breath work, and guided visualization will help prepare you for a peaceful birth.  This class is appropriate for all phases of pregnancy, including women whose activity has been restricted. Birth partners are welcome to attend. A birth partner is anyone the expecting mother would like to be with her during birth, such as a family member, doula or the father of her baby.

Prenatal & Postpartum Massage

Jodie loves to work on your beautiful, but sometimes a little sore, pregnant body. Massage is a great way to relax and care for yourself deeply before, or after baby comes. As a birth professional and yoga instructor, Jodie has extensive experience and understanding around the needs of the body of a woman in her childbearing year, and she genuinely LOVES her job providing that extra bit of support.
